Ocean2Earth Acquires Barwick’s Landscaping Supplies in Tasmania

Ocean2Earth has acquired the assets of the Barwick’s Wholesale & Retail Landscape Supplies business, strengthening its capabilities across landscaping supplies, resource recovery, soil products and biological fertilisers in Tasmania.

The new structure became effective on 5 October 2026, with Ocean2Earth now trading as Barwick’s in Tasmania. The established Barwick’s name will continue, building on the business’s long history and strong relationships with employees, customers, suppliers and regional communities.

Tyronn and Scott Barwick will remain actively involved in the business. Ocean2Earth greatly values the work, experience and commitment they bring to Barwick’s and looks forward to working closely with them in the next chapter of the business.

Barwick’s brings significant local experience and established operations across landscaping and garden products, organics processing, forestry residues, transport and associated services.

Ocean2Earth specialises in recovering organic materials from the seafood, fisheries and aquaculture sectors and transforming them into biological fertilisers, composts and soil products.

Ocean2Earth is part of the Pentarch Group, a privately owned Australian company employing more than 600 people across metropolitan and regional Australia. Pentarch operates across forestry, timber processing, agricultural exports, prefabricated housing, offshore services and organics recovery.

The acquisition creates a strong platform for future investment and growth in Tasmania. Ocean2Earth intends to use Barwicks’ established operations and market presence to scale the recovery of seafood and aquaculture organic materials, expand biofertiliser and soil-product manufacturing, and provide farmers with practical biological alternatives to conventional synthetic fertilisers.

Over time, the combined business intends to increase the volume of organic material diverted from disposal and convert more of Tasmania’s underutilised resources into valuable biological fertilisers, composts, landscaping materials and soil-health products.

The Barwick’s business will continue operating under its existing name, with continuity of service remaining the immediate priority for customers and suppliers.

The new structure will build on Barwicks’ established Tasmanian presence while creating new opportunities for regional employment, investment, resource recovery and sustainable product manufacturing.
